Today's Love List

8/29/2013

Still continuing on my path of enjoying simple things. Sandy toes are high on my list.

Being back in the land of Trader Joe's. I missed it terribly in Louisiana, and this bag stacked full of goodies brings a very satisfied smile to my face. It's the little things we must never take for granted.

And speaking of Trader Joe's, and how wonderful it is.. Have you tried this Body Butter?
I was in a panic when I ran out last week and made it a priority to go pick up another container.
It's about $5.00 and so moisturizing and creamy. This is on my list of top 10 Trader Joe's must- haves.

The first taste of Autumn in our house. We had a couple evenings that felt just a bit cooler, and I took advantage of them by baking. I made a batch of my pumpkin bread. It won't be the last for the season.

Filling our house with kindness.
I picked up this card, also at Trader Joe's, and thinking of hanging it up as a thoughtful reminder.
Picture
A baby learning to water, and drinking from the hose for the first time.. priceless.
Picture
Watching my husband with our son. Fills my heart.
Picture
The times when I pick him up and he clings for a tight baby hug. I treasure those little moments.

I've been reading Nie for a couple years now, and though I've heard so many bloggers rave about it, I never grabbed her book. Well last week it was calling to me from the shelf at the library, and I swear it entered my life at the perfect time.
I read it in a day and a half. I cried tears of sadness and joy while reading it.
As a mother, wife, and woman.. I really appreciate this book. It gave me a really healthy dose of perspective.
Picture
Him again. He is just cute!
Picture
Going out to dinner and walking hand in hand with my little guy. He is so big.
Picture
Picture
When he wakes up from a nap, wearing nothing but a diaper and a smile.  I love the mood he wakes up in.
Picture
Living at the beach again. I'l never take it for granted.

And toys picked up and put away. That'll last 5 minutes! I'm enjoying it anyway.

Tomorrow we are off to Chicago to watch to sweet souls tie the knot,
and spend a long holiday weekend catching up with friends.
Until next time y'all!
xoxo
