Spreading the Love

1/23/2013

I was reading Dana's blog the other day and just had to get started on my Valentine's crafts. She made the cutest garland (which I copied) and was so inspired that I thought I'd start working on my Valentine's.  This year, I thought it would be nice if they were useful. So I'm making these adorable little hand warmers. The stitches aren't perfect, the hearts aren't perfect. But I like them this way. Hopefully everyone who gets them feels the love.

I also made a few with just a soft filling.. maybe the recipients can pass them along to their cats.

I cut out different sized heart patterns and stitched them together, adding little touches to make each one unique. For the hand warmers, I filled them with rice, and some of them have dried lavender in them for fragrance. If you microwave it for 20 seconds, it's a perfect toasty hand warmer for these cold days.

It was fun! Got me inspired to start making some other felt toys and creatures for Bennett.
Want a Valentine? Message me.. I'll send you one! I love the day of LOVE!

I love these and all things felt! But seriously, how does a mom of a baby make this happen? I'm just not there yet. :p
