Last week Albin had some business to attend to in Houston, so we took advantage of it and made a family road trip out of the occasion. I am so glad we did. First off, we discovered an amazing little place called Bayou Cabins.
Valentine's Day at a Bayou Cabin in Cajun Country? Yes please!
We were able to choose from 13 adorable cabins, including one with an Elvis theme.
Not an easy choice.. but we chose this little gem. Cabin #7.
Just so many details. Very cozy..
The armoire even came complete with vintage fur coats and hats to try on! I was in Heaven!
Bennett loved being in the "wilderness" with his Papa! By the way our cabin had a total of 3 porches!
After enjoying the sunset view from our little porch we headed into the town of
Breaux Bridge for some dinner at a favorite restaurant.
Little B was so excited for his evening out on the town!
After sampling incredible tuna, mac 'n' cheese, alligator cheesecake, and delicious wine, this darling Zydeco Cajun band started playing, and a few local couples started dancing. It was just charming! I mean so authentic, it was almost like a movie. Perfection.
Back early to our cozy cabin for some wine on the porch...
.. and we ended the evening with a fireside story time with our little man.
Thank you Rocky and Lisa for the hospitality.
We loved your place and can't wait to return with a few friends!
Up next, on to Texas!
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
