We've visited Houston a few times since we've been married, and I fall more in love with it every time we visit. It's just a pretty city with so much activity available! I could actually live there I think. That's HUGE considering my obsession with our home-- California. The parks, museums, shopping, dining, it has everything! We hung around in Hermann Park for an afternoon and enjoyed the Japanese Garden. It was so fragrant and lovely in there. Smelled like a hint of Spring. Then the baby threw up on me, and the beautiful moment was interrupted. Benny and I drove by the WaterWall, which is a must-visit in Houston, and hit up a Trader Joe's since it's one of the things I miss most since moving to Louisiana. Benny tried the big boy beds in IKEA. On the way back we stopped in Lafayette to meet with a few friends.. Charles Boustany, his wife Bridget, and Joan. It was so lovely, and the perfect little rest from our long journey! Everyone was drinking Old Fashioned's at the restaurant.. I tried a sip. That thing was strong! Made me feel like a teenager sneaking her first drink! Until next time Texas! Maybe next time we'll try for a weekend in Fredericksburg...
