Another October activity checked off the list. We took little man to pick out his own tiny pumpkin this year, and I'd say he was pretty dazzled. We showed up an hour before closing time and had the place pretty much to ourselves. No lines, no insanity, perfect. He got to ride the train, pet all the animals, and find the absolute perfect "pompun." He carried it all the way to the front and put his money on the counter. Be still my heart! The sweet old man at the counter also told me I had to pay for the $30 pumpkin I had tucked under my shirt. I bet that joke never gets old. We did take him to this very pumpkin patch last year, and it's definitely the start of a long tradition for us. It's so fun to watch him experience these activities. Next year we will have two little babes in tow, and I bet Bennett will be carrying an even bigger pumpkin. Gets better each year. Soon we'll be carving and roasting seeds, along with saving some aside for some fresh pumpkin bread. Come on weekend!
