Another Summer is drawing to a close.
The leaves are slowly changing, and the evenings are just a little cooler.
My neighbor's pumpkins are ready to go.
There's a bowl of candy corn on my table.
His flannel shirt is hanging by the door.

Contrary to popular belief, we DO have seasons here in Southern California.
Fall is one of our best!
I've noticed a change in the air in just the last two days.
Soon it'll be time for bonfires, crockpot meals, and cozy sweaters.
Not rushing it. The season change comes in it's own perfect time.
The first official day of Autumn is TOMORROW I'm told!

We like to usher in the new season gradually.. hot meals, lazy mornings, long afternoon walks.
My first Autumn back in California, and it is one my favorite times of year.
There's a special sense of optimism with a new season-- a new school year.
A fresh box of pencils. A clean slate.
How will the cold months unfold? I'm excited to see it all through Benny's eyes.
Bring it on!
xoxo

So fun to watch the seasons change. We are loving the season change in the south, but I am with you, California DOES have seasons.. really good seasons too! :)
