A DIY Disappointment

Do you ever get really gung-ho on a project only to have it turn out differently than you  imagined? I think it happens to me nearly every time I do a new craft. I had these old plain white tennies in my closet forever. I bought the fake Keds with the intention of painting them and it just never happened. So one day I happened to be using the paints on another project and I decided I should finally throw some paint on those shoes as well. I mixed the pink paint with white to get a lighter shade and it looked really pretty.. but the dried result just wasn't exactly what I imagined. Despite being disappointed, I grabbed a Q-tip and dotted the Pepto Bismol colored shoes with gold paint (free-hand in case you couldn't tell by all the imperfections). Hey, maybe I'll wear them on a walk or something.

The next craft! That'll be the one to fulfill my visions! :)
