Thoughts on 35 Weeks..

Here we are, another week closer to bringing home baby. I feel ready.. the laundry is done, the nursery is in order. I really just need to pack my hospital bag and do one more Target run for a few essentials.

Doing my best to relax in these last few weeks.. went in for a prenatal massage. It was AMAZING.
The babe is now over 5 1/2 pounds and 18 inches long! He's still packing on the weight all the way up until D-Day, Delivery Day that is. And so am I!

About me..
Total Weight Gain: HUGE, and that's all anybody needs to know. This whole baby bump thing is really big at this point.. and much too big to be called cute anymore. It's just plain big. Astonishingly BIG.

My biggest complaints: This baby is a pain in the ribs.. My right side ribs are so sore every single day. There must be a foot lodged in there. Yeeeouch! That's my biggest issue. I'm coping with the swelling of EVERYTHING with the knowledge that it's temporary. I also have a few mobility issues.. my once fast-paced, long stride walk has been replaced with a slow shuffle-waddle.

Cravings: Not a whole lot of crazy cravings. Corn on the cob has made the list. Mostly, I just crave sweets alot, and had a must-have urge for a Twinkie last week. Hadn't had one in probably 15 years.. but I needed one. And it was great. I had a Skittles kick a few weeks ago too. Healthy I know.

I've also been a little clumsier than usual. I've always been a tripper, faller, lanky, gangly, ungraceful type.. but my balance is definitely more off than usual.

Labor Signs: Just the occasional Braxton Hicks contractions.. they aren't fun for me. Nothing real yet though. I'm kind of hoping this babe comes BEFORE his due date. Everyone who sees me thinks he's coming early.. hey, I can dream can't I?

Did you like all my complaining?! Seriously.. I know I should be THANKFUL that I'm lucky enough to be carrying a big, healthy, active baby boy.

And on another note of being thankful.. my dear friend and co-Ribbonette Alumni sent me this darling book, Ralph Lauren outfit, and some Trader Joe's trail mix. She's so good.. always knows how to brighten a day.
I can see Peep trying to hide behind me. Silly pup.
