Our Little Bennett

7/4/2012

He's here! Our little man has finally arrived. On Thursday, June 28th, Bennett Albin made his arrival one day before his due date.
After a LONG labor, our poor sweet boy came out sunny side up, with the cord wrapped around his neck. He was stunned and blue for the first few minutes of life. As a result, he spent the first couple of days being closely watched by the amazing angel nurses in the NICU. Thankfully, he recovered quickly from his dramatic entrance into the world and we are so happy to have him here and healthy.

He weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 21 inches long.

Here he is just a few hours old, hooked up to monitors and an IV. Broke this Mama's heart.

Having this little guy home has been surreal, wonderful, and not without a few challenges. We spend our days ooh-ing and aah-ing over those Michelin Man arms, soft fuzzy head, and newborn baby grunts. He is precious.
So this is Motherhood... looking forward to this journey with my family.

Next stop.. Operation Body Back!

It's surreal to be watching from far away. I can't wait to see him in person!

Congrats on your sweet baby boy! Our son was born 2 days earlier on the 26th, also with the cord wrapped around his neck. SO scary! So glad your little guy is happy and healthy...such a little miracle! xo
