Now that I am 23 weeks along, it's pretty obvious I'm pregnant. But sometimes I have to ask Albin, "Do I look fat or pregnant?" At this point, it's a hands-down "pregnant." I've been feeling so great lately that I almost feel like my old self... so sometimes I just want to make sure I don't look like a completely different person. I'll feel so normal, then see my own reflection and be shocked at the sheer size of my profile. It's a strange thing to watch your body transform so quickly and out of your own control. As great as I feel, with the belly growing- I sometimes struggle to get up from sitting or laying down. I also tend to get a bit winded from a hike up 3 flights of stairs. I try not to overdo it, but it sure feels good to be able to exercise again. Albin and I spent the weekend enjoying the beautiful weather. We've been really lucky lately, experiencing some of the best weather we've had since moving to New Orleans. These are some photos we took on our bike ride through Audubon Park. What a spectacular day for the park. We saw lots of families carting around babies and we talked about how this time next year we'll be doing the same. This is what the little butterball is up to at 23 weeks:
Movement: TONS! He has a way of letting me know when I should eat.. he's usually hungry just a few minutes before the urge to eat strikes! Albin was finally able to feel a little jab through my belly on Sunday morning too. It was wonderful. Size: Weighs just over a pound!! Crazy, and still so much growing to do! Developments: He's working hard to build fat and is looking more and more like a newborn all the time. He's planning on doubling in weight in the next 4 weeks. Other: He has his very own nursery now, with curtains hung, a dresser full of darling clothes, and a crib set to arrive on Tuesday! Here he comes! Comments are closed.
