This was one of those blissful relaxing weekends I've been dreaming about. Ever since the Europe trip, we've been going non-stop. I was eager for a weekend with no definite plans. So Saturday, we went to the French Quarter Fest to see Kermit Ruffins, and do a bit of sight-seeing. I consumed two Snowballs that day. YUM! Being out in the sun with my honey and some live music was just what the doctor ordered.
I also made a big purchase this weekend.. a kiddie pool for the back yard! It's getting HOT in New Orleans, and I so badly wanted to be in a pool. We have access to a pool, but I haven't made the maternity bathing suit plunge yet.. so I figured a kiddie pool in the backyard would do the trick.. and it did!
I put my tunes on, snagged a trashy novel, and popsicles. It was the perfect set up.
I think it's going to get alot of use for the remainder of my pregnancy and beyond.
